SiteZap does not collect, transmit, or sell any personal data. All data stays on your device (or synced via your browser's built-in sync).

Data Storage

SiteZap stores CSS selectors for elements you choose to remove. This data is saved using your browser's storage.sync API, which means:

• Data is stored locally on your device
• If you have browser sync enabled, data syncs across your signed-in devices through your browser vendor's infrastructure (Google, Mozilla, or Apple)
• SiteZap never sends this data to any third-party server

Data Collected

• Element selectors: CSS selectors for elements you remove (e.g. .ad-banner)
• Site theme preferences: Your per-site dark mode/invert settings
• Popup theme preference: Light or dark mode for the extension popup

Data NOT Collected

• No browsing history
• No personal information
• No analytics or telemetry
• No cookies
• No network requests to external servers

Permissions

• storage: Save your element removal rules and theme preferences
• activeTab: Access the current tab to remove elements and apply themes when you activate the extension

Third Parties

SiteZap does not integrate with any third-party services, analytics platforms, or advertising networks.
